 8) Since I was probably leaning too far out the window. After 50cm snow this week at least to 10 ° C are told at the weekend ahead. The liability for this prediction lies at the pretty women of the weather forecast  ::)

Many thanks for your comments, more coming soon

Amazing Tatsuo, are they this varied in the wild? Have you seen them in the wild? Could you share some pictures?

The blue with white centre one is a seedling by self pollination from a wild collected plant named 'SHI-EN (紫艶)' almost same as its flower shape and colour. Another is also a seedling from unknown parentage.

My place is not wild habitat area of H. japonica and I have no pics of wild plants, sorry Mark...

`Monsago` extraordinary colouration !!!  :o

Here are a few picts taken today, all are H. nobilis

Birgit has been found by my wife, near the border to Slovenia, Bergfexing has been found in the north of Austria, near the border to Czech. Rep.

Both are similar, different colour. Many other similar clones occure, situable for breeding projects...

Crazy colour is realy just that-  I've seen a similar shade mixed with some white but that clear solid tone is very beautiful. Perfect!
Mind you, with Hepaticas, I have even learned to like the doubles.
