I do have a very large collection, David ;D  No recent pics but here are two from February 2009 when blackbirds and redwings were tunneling in to get at the worms during a frosty spell.  The heap has grown since then.

3/4cm of snow here this morning but warmer now and turning to slush. Much worse to the north and east of us.

No sign of snow here as yet.  Looking at the weather forecasts we may be one of the few areas to miss it.  However, it's C-O-L-D -or maybe that's old-age talking.

Here is a thin layer of snow, and –19,4° C. The forecast for the next 10 days is pretty cold weather.
It takes a lot of wood for the fireplace.

I don't suppose it would be helpful to say that on Friday I'm going to have to put on a pair of socks (and shoes) for the first time this year?
