Can't say I've ever seen any for sale?
Since I have been in Canada, I've discovered there are different types of persimmons, some have pointed bottoms and some flat. One ( can't remember which one) can be eaten before it gets soft.

Usually about this time of year, through Christmas time, in the supermarkets, certainly, though not in large numbers...( wee displays tucked up on a high shelf....so they must be thought naughty in Aberdeen!) I would have thought the nice Fruit shop down in your village would stock them.... the one I met Vivienne and Lucy in a few years ago on Early Bulb Day!
