An Australian win at the World Cup!
I've just read it here, so it must be true: http://www.gardeningworldcup.com/

Too much construction and not enough garden for my taste, though ::)
cheers

I think the New Zealanders will be very happy with their win and making happy celebrations... on the other hand, our French forumists will likely be shrugging their shoulders, and then cheering themselves up with a great lunch! ;)

Not so long ago it was almost 4 NZ$/£. Now it's less than 2! Those merchant bankers, who caused the problem, are still grabbing in increasing proportion of the pie, but, thanks to them, the pie is getting smaller and smaller. Alas, this corporate greed seems to have been British government policy for over 30 years. Also, as a Yorkshireman living in Scotland, I never really felt I could be British as I was always treated as English. When I first came here in 1963 aged 10 I was beaten up for being English! The hatred people felt was alien to me, who'd just moved from Loughborough, via Huddersfield. My best friend in Loughborough was Scottish, my best friend in Huddersfield was Russian. By the time I hit Stirling I had a broad Yorkshire accent, having lived there a year! I was greeting by my class "mate" with "where d'ye come fi?" "Sassanach!". At the Scotland v England match I wore a Scottish jersey and hat and was sad when they lost. Who knows, in a year or two we may retire to France?
