"Again" doesn't apply down here Anthony, from now until late summer it will be drought all the way. I'll be buying water again very soon.
Torrential rain here, again. No wonder they moisturise in Auckland! ::)

I admit to quite an eclectic taste in music, from Paul Robeson to Bruce Springsteen, from Bedřich Smetana to Ray Lamontagne, from the Big 'O' to Elbow and from Dylan to Josh Groban.  I enjoy Les Miserables as much as Holst and the 'in vogue' Mads Langer with as much passion as Streisand.
I abhor 'Sing Something Simple', rap and repetitive jingles, but can appreciative most other kinds of music - and now for the confession.
I have always loved the voice of Johnny Mathis and have seen him twice in concert. Last evening was the third opportunity when he appeared at the MEN in Manchester and, by 'eck, he didn't disappoint.  The voice is still as mellow and as powerful as ever and he was supported by a tremendous orchestra. Not to everyone's taste I know - but certainly to mine!

Cliff,
Dylan, Springsteen and Elbow. You may move on to Frank Turner next then:

   or have you 'Grown Up!!!'

Got soaked watching him at Leeds this year, even forgot it was raining.

Cheers

You can stay in the dry and 'appreciate' him again as he's playing the O2 Apollo, Manchester on Nov 26, 2011.

'Grown up' - Moi?    Still an infant (and an infantile one at that)!   :D

You obviously enjoy your music Cliff so I will put a clip in here for your adjudication . A few weeks ago we were at the Chris Cornell concert in Wellington . Just him and a selection of his guitars . He played a lot of his own stuff and also some covers ( including the youtube one ) . Mandy managed to get tickets in the second row and I had to hold her back every now and then . I also had to remind her that" he already has a baby and doesn't need any more from you"

Loved the clip, Steve (but he didn't stir me to a miraculous procreation on that evidence - I think you need to let Mandy out more)!   :D

I have finally found some time to start sorting my photos. The weather is awful and I can't do anything outside today. This photo from our spring vacation made me smile.

Morris dancing? I thought he was the guy who played the guitar. ;D

I don't want to resurrect the Moan..... thread and it's hardly worth that anyway but I'm wondering why every new post to the Forum for the last two days, appears in my Inbox twice? The one where David N said "Oops. Sorry for the double posting," appeared 4 times.

Yes, and I think from the attire and style that they are following the Cotswold Tradition
Yemen, what a country ... Haraz mountains, Socotra, Sana'a, Hadramaut, the empty quarter.... a country of stunning, mind altering beauty...and the friendliest of people.
