I expect Mrs McMark will be concocting a delicious onion cake for a celebratory meal for this happy occasion..... :o

I think we'll just stick with some caramel brownies a friend brought yesterday, McMark, if you don't mind? The birthday wishes are just as good with those, I'm sure!

But Robin....

Thank you Robin and Maggi,

I took the hint about caramel brownies and will have a bowl of ice cream with caramel sauce this morning with breakfast (hold the onions please).

Robin, thank you for the personalized greeting with a beautiful Iris.  Did you notice your post was your 3000th?  Since there is a possibility it is your birthday too (if Maggi's sleuthing work is correct), and even if not, then in celebration of your 3000th SRGC posting, I'm sending to you a bouquet of Stewartia pseudocamellia (still attached to the tree) which are blooming 2 weeks earlier than normal this year just in time for birthday(s).

Mrs. McMark just called me up for breakfast, I detect the enticing aroma of a heaping open-face sandwich of peppers and eggs on toast.  The ice cream will come after.

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes McMark and Maggi and for the spectacular bouquet of Stewartia pseudocamellia - I love the idea of a bouquet on the tree!  Yes we are true Geminis - two in one, double trouble, whichever way you want to look at it  ;D  8)

Thanks Maggi, I'm having a wonderful time with family just enjoying everything and about to have a BBQ roast pork with crackling (sorry to any vegans) It is the ultimate primeval food and even Jazzy is fired up for the tidbits (The Swiss don't do crackling, can you believe, but they do do fantastic fruit, veg and fish - which considering they are landlocked is especially amazing)  8) 8) 8) a day to remember
