Robin and Mark, I think I'm just a little late to greet you on the right day, but I hope it was a great one for you both. Obviously there was pleanty to eat of the nicest kind, in both households.

Well done on the 3000th Robin. It's quite frightening how quickly the total mounts up though. There must be a better way to spend a life, mustn't there?  ;D ;D ;D

I agree Maggi... nothing better than sitting chatting to friends about subjects that we love. What more do we want and it doesn't cost us anything ;D ;D

Well perhaps I should have said a more productive way. Like doing the dishes and the washing and cleaning the loo. All those things that another despot expects to find done when he gets home. But production, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder and I can think of someone who could do with a black eye sometimes. >:(

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone.  Just got back from my daughter's piano recital (2 hours sitting on a church pew, now my back is out of shape and aching) then went out to a Mexican restaurant for a celebratory dinner... mmmMMMM Chile Relleno, now too full to have some birthday cake.  Will need to double my run to 10 miles tomorrow to make up for the exorbitant eating.  Lesley, your birthday greeting was not too late... thank you!

Lesley, thanks for your birthday wishes - saw it just before I turned in after a really great day - the best birthday ever in lots of ways and made even better by all the thoughts from Forum friends plus enjoying plants and buying a plant for my daughter at the Bishop's fete :D and I was so busy I hardly noticed that I'd passed a milestone of 3000 postings until Mark pointed it out - yes as Maggi and Angie say there is no better way to spend my time that I can think of  ::)  Jazzy might disagree  :-\

Likewise from me, too! But I have an excuse - I haven't been near a computer since Wednesday! Just having a quick look at the Forum before tea!
cheers

A belated Happy Birthday to McMark and Robin from me as well.  I'm going to use the same excuse (well sort of) as Fermi..... but my last visit here was WAY more than last Wednesday.  ;D

Happy Birthday to all those who I have missed in the last couple of months as well.  8)
Cheers.
