this forum reaches an enormous number of galanthophiles, with over 1700 reading this thread already

Many of us reading this forum are also from other countries, and I for one are green with envy with all the galas and happenings around snowdrops over there. The program and speakers seems great (not to think about all the snowdrops which are on sale) and if I were in the UK, I would surely participate (but don't have the money or time to come from here :().

A good point Leena- of course there  is a huge international following for the forum - but I would hope there are enough UK readers, and particularly English people, who could attend the event -  as Emma asks, it would help if we all do our part to spread the word.

I know Emma is "tweeting" about it - perhaps others of you could do that too- and  there is Facebook too- though it looks like the Galanthus page there  is not much used but individual s g could still make a mention.......?  :)

Weve sold 1/6th of the tickets we need to sell to cover cost , which I quess as tickets only went on sale on Wednesday is pretty good ? If they carry on at the rate they are selling we should make it a sold out event .

How have no idea how long most of these things take to sell out .

I guess my very nature makes me a worrier , I worry we won't sell out , I worry our speakers will be talking to an empty hall , I worry about the weather , i worry about worring !

Poor Emma,  one of the joys of worrying is that it gives you extra hours at night to read some of the books you otherwise wouldn't have time for    ;)

It's not (I think) been posted here but I got an email listing the sales tables at this event as:

Ivy Croft Plants, Long Acre Plants, Jenny Homewood, Woodchippings, Matt Bishop, Evolution Plants + more.
Almost in Scotland.

Lol also I meant bear with me ! I'm not encouraging naked snowdrop events , if people want one organise that your selves

Maybe the sales line-ups would be less congested...............I'm feeling like Tubby Merlin already.

Any queues would be more amusing, at least!

Struggling to find details of who's speaking etc although I've looked at the Shaftesbury Snowdrops website.  Help please! It's a great idea.
