I don't suppose it would be helpful to say that on Friday I'm going to have to put on a pair of socks (and shoes) for the first time this year?

NO  ;)

Wasn't it a great feeling Roma. I was out in the garden all day, suffering now.
All the wonderful plants are popping up now. I do like this time of year.

I'm grateful that we've finally had a decent rain! :) Over an inch fell in the early hours of the morning.
The first "real" rain since August - it's just been dribs and drabs - no wonder so many plants have suffered :(
cheers

. . . . today, yesterday and almost all winter!
But the plants are freeze dried as the soil is frozen solid. My evergreens don't like sun, dry weather and frozen soil . . . . :-\

We have high pressure covering most of the UK and as such it is pulling in all the cloud (and cold) that should really be Tronds whilst he basks in sunshine.

No clouds where we are David !  Wall to wall sunshine for the past three days.  The green house is heating up to 27c during the day so I have to open all windows and the door to prevent overheating.

Yes Tom, you look to have done pretty well over the last few days. We've had a North East wind bringing lots of cloud in. Today, I understand, Plymouth had some sun but here, no more than 15 miles to the East, it's been grey all done.

Oh well Anthony, I can't have it both ways, at least I shouldn't get attacked by a shark!
