Trees absorb CO2 as they grow so the more forests we plant the more CO2 we can absorb. When wood is used as a construction material, the CO2 that has been absorbed is "locked up" within the wood for as long as the wood is in use. With Forest Research and Moray House School of Education.

This exhibition celebrates the British oak through a variety of wooden furniture, objects, scientific study and art. It also demonstrates the record of our world that can be read from the tree rings and explores the culture surrounding our national tree. Exhibition organised by the Sylva Foundation.
