I know that this is only tenuously linked to Scottish alpines, but do any Japanese members have a copy of this book, or know where I can get one?

Gerry,

A search of Yahoo Japan for the title [観棕竹図巻ーkansouchiku zukan] shows a wildflower vendor Ishida Seikaen in Kyoto to be a (or one of ?) distributor(s) for this title at Y2,000, but currently out of stock.

Link: http://www.ishidaseikaen.com/webshop
Fax: (Japan) 075-333-2965

Please let me know if you want me to inquire further.

Just to confirm what we all know, that there are some very kind people on this site. Koko has put herself out endlessly to guide me through japanese website and order forms, and contacted the bookseller on my behalf.

He e-mailed me yesterday and it looks like I will now get a copy of the book.

Many thanks to Koko.
