Hope to come over in the next few years. Keep us posted on how it is maturing. Off to Ron McB to get my bale of peat Rob Potterton has for me and to buy some plants from Rob.

Gee, couldn't you have made it bigger?  You'll fit hardly anything into there!!  ::)

I think your rock garden is larger than my whole garden.  :o
Cheers.

Peter - I hope you can publish your book in English; it would or should take the gardening world here by storm! Years ago the rock gardens were a major feature of the Chelsea Show, but the last one in 1989 for the 50th Anniversary of the AGS was one of the best because it was really full of plants! I don't suppose many gardeners these days would be so adventurous but it's fantastic to see the results of those who are! How would gardeners take on board a large sand garden at Chelsea and the amazing variety of plants that can grow on it? Are gardeners educated enough to appreciate the wonder of all these plants? I'm lost in admiration for your 'garden'.

Luc, there are probably a lot more than that planted already...

Tim, I will try to publish my book in English this winter but I need some money to finance it.
It would be fun to make a sand garden at Chelsea but I don´t think all the visitors would appreciate the look of it.
Please come and visit the garden some day.

Wow! Peter, that's looks amazing, but knowing your energy I guess we shouldn't be surprised!
I saw your garden after the Czech Conference in 2007 - maybe we should try to stop by again after next year's one!
cheers

Fermi, see you in Prague where I will have a talk about my new rock garden. You are always welcome.

Annew, it´s full of plants, it´s difficult to find a empty spot. I have no idea how many plants but probably a lot more than 5000. A third of them are bulbs. At the moment I´m planting a few hundred seedlings of Junos and Oncos. I built the bed for them...

I was lucky to be able to digg the pond all the way into the new area.
