Does anyone here know the start of the membership year for NARGS membership? I think I am going to join but want to have a full year's membership if I do.

Yes, Cliff has it right for the next renewal date, and in more detail... (paraphrasing slightly from the NARGS Executive Secretary's answer to my question in this regard) memberships renew/expire at four times during the year: Jan. 1, April 1, July 1, and Oct. 1. Therefore, when a new member joins or a member renews, the expiration date will be one of the four dates. For new members the date is usually set for the beginning of the current quarter and the new member is sent the current issue of the Rock Garden Quarterly.
It would be great if you joined Chris - the more, the merrier!

Chris,
it's definitely worth joining!
To my mind each of the "big 3" [SRGC, NARGS, AGS] offer members great journals, Seed exchanges and on-line support yet each has its own "flavour" - each is a little different and that all adds to the spice of life
I joined SRGC and NARGS at the prompting of my mentor in Rock Gardening back in the 1980s and I really appreciated NARGS when I went to live in the USA in 1996 for 18 months - even though my "local chapter" was in Denver and I lived in Louisiana!
cheers
