Allium identification
« on: July 17, 2012, 08:07:53 PM »
I have this 35/40cm high Allium.
Received as A.tibeticum, syn of A.sikkimense, what it is absolutely not.
Any ideas/suggestions of what it could be then?

Well, Allium cernuum springs to mind... I'm sure Mark McDonough will be able to say what it is when he checks in.

Thank you Lori

I have forgotten to add that this allium was grown from seed of garden origin. Quickly said I would say rather no, but I don't know if the genus Allium hybridises freely or not in gardens. This might complicate the identification if yes.
