There's a whole week between the 18th and the 24th July with no cake.....what about then?

Excellent! I shall expect cake from July 18 to July 24 inclusive.

Now, then young Baxendale, don't push yer luck...... >:(

Damn! I was hoping you might have been at the cherry brandy and not notice me trying to slip that one past you.  :(   Okay, I'll pick a day.

Actually, having just finished a HUGE mound of ironing, I am about to break open a bottle of wine from the Orkney Wine Company !
Never had this before... was just telling a friend about it...he was somewhat dubious about it.... he may be right......  ::)

It comes from here....http://www.orkneywine.co.uk/home.html

Give me a few minutes and Ill report back.... but you're still only getting one day for your official birthday, even if  the wine is fab and I scoff the lot!

Martin,

How frustrating would that be?  Remember, you can't have your cake and eat it too...... that would mean you had to look at cake for all those days without tasting it!!  ;)

So they have a Christmas in July (do they have that overseas, or just here in Aus on occasions?), so why not a Birthday in July.  ;D
Cheers.

Maggi,
regrettable nothing of what you hoped for me today.  :'(
I still suffer of terrible fits of coughing from a flu infection I caught last weekend.
That's the reason I was silent on the forum...
I better take my medicine and get early to bed today and hope so for a quick recovery just before weekend ;D
Best wishes
Armin

I am sorry to hear of your illness, Armin.
I think the same infection is common in many countries at the moment, I know of lots of UK friends who have had this "bug" ... it is reluctant to leave you once it arrives.  :P

I wish you, then, a speedy recovery to good health and good gardening :D

A very happy birthday Armin, from the other side of the world. And remember, even if you DO cough on the Forum, none of us will catch your "bug." :)
