Belated happy birthday Ian. Hope you and Maggi celebrated in style? I'd go to the pictures and have a nice meal afterwards.

Dear friends, thank you all for your good birthday wishes, I did indeed have a nice day and it is nice to know so many of you were thinking of me.
I have recently received several packets of seeds from wild sources that include Lilies, Eryhtroniums and Narcissus which were like birthday presents to me - a big thank you to the senders - these are special.

I have to share my fantastic present with you - as you may know I have a liking for bright and unusual shoes so Maggi has designed and had custom made this very special pair.

Happy belated birthday greetings to Chloe and Ian
have just arrived in Goa at my sister's place and they have a computer!
I always thought Maggi had a lot of influence, but to get a Multi-national to upgrade they shoe manufacture just for one pair of shoes - that's power! I hope she found you the right socks to go with them!
cheers

Hi, Fermi, glad you are safely arrived and will have a super holiday..... hope your sister will have cake for the 18th!!

I am greatly flattered that you have such confidence in my sphere of influence.....though actually, anyone can go to the ID section of that multinational's website and have a pair of any style of shoe made to your colour specifications with added custom features like Ian's BulbDespot stitching. They don't charge extra either - something to give joy to the gift giver, eh? ;D
I chose as many different colours as I could add to this style to make Ian's birthday treat! As you will see from the pix, some suitably bright socks were gifts from others ::)
The smaller pic shows the more accurate colour but the larger shows the brightness!!

I didn't realize it was your day today Fermi. The big Hawaii no less! Have a great time in Goa, and safely home in due course. You're missed on the Forum.

Cheers,
Lesley
