'Hear, Hear'

Meaning

A shout of acclamation or agreement.

Origin

Originated in the British parliament in the 18th century as a contraction of 'hear him, hear him'. It is still often heard there although it is occasionally used ironically these days.

Thank you all for your wishes. I can say this only now, because I've spent my birthday and the following week in the Ortleralpen. We had a beautiful time!

And I wish all the best for those who had birthdays last days!
