Many happy returns from me too Dave. Keep those fantastic trip records coming in. My kids were fancing moving to NZ after watching a programme called 'Your Move' (I think?) - wide open spaces, fabulous houses, lovely weather but, more importantly, you can drive at 15 [and don't need car insurance - don't understand how that works]!

Many happy returns from me too Dave. Had a good chat with John F. at the Market this morning. Haven't seen him for ages so it was great to catch up. He's looking forward to your trip with the BD, to Mt Bee, Burns etc. Sounds like fun.

Thanks all for the kind words and wishes.
It's a pleasure to able to record/report on my 'outings'.
Very quiet day yesterday and with returning to a full days hard work i wasn't into too much celebrating.(No party Thomas).
In fact we plan a family get together tomorrow for a BBQ tea and i'm chef,(cry!!),as it's a tradition here that the male of the household is always in charge the BBQ regardless of the end result....... Smile
Cheers dave.

Looking at the calendar, I see that in the next few weeks there are LOTS of Forum birthdays coming up...
coincidentally, this message just appeared in my inbox from my brother-in-law in Dunedin....seems appropriate at this time of year,so here it is...
I just read an article on the dangers of heavy drinking....
Scared the sh*t out of me.
So that's it!
After today, no more reading.

Happy Birthday, Rogan, you youthful chap!
Hope you are enjoying your birthday, perhaps on a good hike... in which case we may get to enjoy the pictures later??
Tomorrow (8th) it is the turn of Kaye Griffiths to share her birthday cake.... I hope! Many Happy Returns, Kaye!

Hi et all,
thank you very much for the birthday greetings
Again another 1year passed by ...
However, I'm very happy today because of two outlooks:
Firstly, I can soon celebrate my 1st aniversery of being a member of this fantastic forum and I would like to motivate the hidden "lurkers" to actively join it. Say your word!
It is a great pleasure to share around the globe the same botanical interests, hobbies and individual knowledges.
It continously increases my knowledge, gives me a deep satisfaction, offers opportunities for new contacts and personal friendships and finally very important -makes a great fun communicating with all of you!-
Secondly, very exciting, all my own crocus will be soon in flower. Yeahhh
The waiting time is almost over.
It is definitively the best season of the year
.
Thank you!

Happy birthday Armin. I too think it is the best season which begin , but with Crocuses, there is few time without them because since august Colchicum, Crocus, Galanthus, Cyclamen enjoy our days and often our nights too !!! With bulbs, notime in the year is empty as with the SRGC Forumists, there is no days without friendly thought. It is great to think that all over the globe, many persons send their whishes to show how everyone is appreciated on this forum and it is fabulous for our heart. I am with all of them to wish you a marvellous birthday in family at the light of your Crocuses

Anthony Darby has his birthday today
.......though with bad weather and the builders ripping his house apart, he perhaps won't be feeling in too celebratory a mood.
Here's hoping the family have got something nice planned for him.... lunch out perhaps? But not a barbecue, it really isn't the weather for that
