Gerry passed away  at home  on 25th February 2021 - his posts are  left  in the  forum in memory of him.
His was a long life - lived well.

Thanks to all for the good wishes via posts, personal mails and calls!

Miriam, cake with icecream looks fantastic (and makes me hungry again :-[ ;)), Robin thanks for the fine picture, it makes me remember the time has passed since I was in the alps the last time!
I had a good time and superb weather: sun in the morning , and less sun a bit later but lightnings and thunders ;) - but it was fine as all the week it was sunny and very hot. ;)

Maybe you were given a very rare Iris as birthday present instead of the cake ??? ;D
I received so many rare "birthday presents" during the last year from wonderful people so I was not disappointed to receive none yesterday (but yesterday I detected more germination :D) - hope I can contribute very rare Iris will not be so rare in future... ;)
