Maggi, I hope this is your best birthday ever, with lots of love, laughter and of course good food and wine.
I knew you'd get lots of cake and chocolate so I am giving you a flower  :)

Dear Friends, I am excited to have so many kind birthday wishes, both privately and here in the Forum.
I have been chortling at some funny ecards, too. I am having a lovely birthday.
As Ian mentioned, I bought myself a coffee walnut cake to celebrate. There have been various friends visiting today, so why, I hear you ask, am I saying that the cake was for my celebration?
Well, happily enough, there seem to be a lot of pople who simply cannot stand coffee walnut cake, so all the more for me!! What a stroke of birthday luck!! :D

I was particularly moved by a charming card which arrived this morning.... in company with some very yummy choccy treats with the message : " for when virtual isn't good enough" ;D
I don't know how the sender got hold of this picture of me celebrating last year's birthday and I have to be honest with you and admit that the image has been airbrushed to give me such a glowing complexion; even I am not  so vain as to pretend that I have such pink and downy skin at my age..... I feel it was so kind of my friend to take the trouble to enhance the photo to make me look so youthful ,so I thought I'd share it with you all.........

And from the southern half too Maggi, a wonderful birthday, still ongoing hopefully. Can't possibly top Erika's beautiful cake let alone John's but I wish you the best possible things to eat, drink and sniff at (flowers, I mean).
