Many thanks for all your best wishes folks - my old footnote has even greater significance now- 'Still alive in Whitworth, Lancashire, U.K.'.

Our pleasure, Jane  ......don't know about Cheshire, but Aberdeen has had a perfect day for sitting in the garden eating birthday cake.... or even for watching Wimbledon on TV so I hope you have had a lovely day, however you have spent it!

Yes, Lesley, a shame for British tennis fans who were working themselves into a lather over the prospect of a UK finallist.... but the lad is only 22, and improving all the time..... there will be other chances!!  :)

Maggie it was such a lovely surprise to receive your ecard from SRGC forum members. Much better than the greetings from the Blood bank and another firm that I would rather not have a birthday greeting from.

Erika ( Arykana) ... wow! Now that cake, or is it a cheescake.... looks really delicious! Would you give us a link to its recipe on your website ?  :)

If that doesn't give today's birthday forumists a treat, I don't know what will!

I've just nipped off to change clothes....Miriam has already started the party......

Happy Birthday Pat, Derek & Fred - enough virtual deliciousness for all in Arykana's artistic cake!

Did you make the lace beneath as well Arykana?
