Seeing the Dacts. growing so well and looking great in this bulb log prompts me to post this reply.
It was the bulb log that gave me the confidence to split up my group after many years of growing in the same place. they would probably be in the same place had I not followed the great advice.

2009 - in situ - 15 spikes
2010 - split up and put in a new part of the garden - 26 spikes
2011 - still in the same place and now 52 spikes with a further 12 in other parts of the garden. Will leave them another year and think about splitting them again then.

I will have some available for swapping if any one is interested. Though I don't know what they are. I have D. foliosa, fuchsii, and 'Eskomo Nell' so am not looking for those.

Perhaps Oresitrophe rupifraga - Saxifragaceae - I'm not sure.
If I'm right it flowers very late in your garden.

May be a Rodgersia in bloom ?

Yes, Nicole, it is a Rodgersia. Gerd was very close with his Oresitrophe rupifraga ID... the flowers are so very similar.
Just a difference in the size of the plant, really... here's a close-up of the Oresitrophe rupifraga from the web....

Yes, they do ! But I didn't know Oresitrophe

I guessed Saxifragaceae but I didn't know until I looked it up that Rodgersia was in the family. Just shows that something is sinking in from all these flowers I look at
