WOW WOW WOW... now when is the open day that we can see this up close. Thanks for showing the construction. Well worth all the hard work. Now I wonder which part of my garden I could dig up.
Ian how much rest do you need before you start another one, only a small one.
Only joking , but I would like to do something in a smaller scale. These alpines are addictive.

Great work gentlemen, and what a stunning place that will be when planted and growing. Am I right in thinking this is right outside Cyril's house? What a sight to look upon while having a cuppa or something stronger in the evening.

I also admire the chrystal palace at the top but what I am most envious of, is what appears to be a double trailer loaded with rocks. Can this be used either or both at a time and can the back one, be upended onto the front, for empty transport? (Like the huge logging trucks we see on our roads; both parts are loaded with tree trunks but after unloading wherever, they return to the forests with the back part sitting upsidedown, on top of the front.)

Looking forward to seeing further progress and growth on this wonderful project.

Hi, thanks everyone, firstly the reflective jacket, I'm afraid health and safety drives me mad but when you visit a quarry they are very strict about this so must comply, must admit never thought about this as a bird scarer, it was really to hide the holes made in my jumper caused by lifting the rocks, I got hell from Ann.   Angie I would need a passport to come that far North with my trailer and unfortunately the 4x4 would just eat fuel pulling the rock that farcould think about it,  cheers Ian the Christie kind.

Hi Lesley, the Crockery is all the way along the back of Cyrils house and my trailer is the good old fashioned type just sits solid as a rock, the 4x4 eats fuel the load you see is 2 tons, cheers Ian the Christie kind.

Ok Ian that's a good enough excuse. I really enjoyed seeing the build and I am seriously thinking where could I do a small scale copy of Cyril's. It will be really nice to see it next summer, hope you will post some pictures.

Hi all, I visited the quarry again today for more rock to build a small crevice garden at a friends house, I thought you might like to see pictures of the quarry it is mega big quite impressive,  cheers Ian the Christie kind.
