I know you will enjoy Ireland and meeting Mark as well was so nice, Otto you have to go on the ferry. 
I hope Aberdeen is on the list, no ferries just a bumpy road to my house.

We've got a mobile home and about 4-5 weeks time from middle of July on.  :D

Helga. Which area in Ireland are you staying? If you are staying anywhere near the mid-west and south-west area I can give you details of gardens to visit.

I'm grateful for any advice where to go and what to see (not only gardenwise)! We'll be travelling with our motor home, so there's no need to book anything, or to decide on a route beforehand.
I have already been to the southern and western regions, but that was more than 20 years ago and at Easter - so something totally different.

 Ah, so  you will have  the  "freedom of the road"  :)  - as I know from other friends who have a motor home,  that's a really great way to  travel!

Helga,
I would visit Jimi Blake's garden Huntingbrook, which is near Dublin and also his sister June Blake's garden just a short distance away. Two very different gardens, both very interesting.
In the north, there is Mount Stewart of course, you must not miss that!
