unwelcome chinese visitor I think

This plant has appeared in the same pot as my Mandragora caulescens,the Mandragora caulescens,is at the bottom the unwelcome visitor is the plant with the varigated leaves .It may have come in as a seed on the root from china .Ideas anyone ?

If so, it should be identifiable as such, by some sort of fragrance in the foliage. I'd be inclined to lift it out carefully before it gets too big and maybe smothers the Mandragora. You may even need to tip out the pot (it's in a pot?) and separate them.

Just to further confuse matters .I made the wife smell one of the leaves she said there was vague minty smell but I thought the leaf smelt rather unpleasant . ;DI have trawled through pictures of the mint family and buddleja but not seen anything yet .
The caulescens is so temperamental that I am not keen on pulling the weed out for fear of distubing the roots .I tiptoe around the caulescens pot like it is a rather spoilt child that throws itself into a temper tantrum at the slightest upset
