The deep-coloured spathe is a great support for the flower colour. While that purple is not my favourite, I do like this very much and it has a wonderful stature or "presence."
'Dunshanbe' is a wonderful parent! Nice shot of it in bud. The name of the city has an 'n' in the registered name, perhaps the relic of a translation, as I've seen the city spellt different ways on different maps.Here is 'Eastern Blush', a cross of 'Vera' x 'Faux Pas', a tall bearded.
By the way, the word means Monday in Persian,Tajick and Dari. Literary - "the second day", the first day of the week was Sunday there and Monday used to be a market day. So, you see, it was a market town centuries back.
