Happy New Year!!

It's 1am here, so I'm a bit tardy, but still thought it was worthwhile.

Welcome to 2010!! (well for those of us who aren't still living in the past.  ;D ;D ;D ;))

I hope it is a great one for everyone. 8)
Cheers.

Min winter temp -8 or -9°C. Max summer temp 40°C. Thankfully, maybe once or twice a year only.

Hello, Paul! Happy New Year to you... and all you Southern Folks!
As I was just saying elsewhere in the Forum: Since it is now officially the New year on the other side of the world, I think I'll take that as an excuse to make hot toddy in celebration .... my old year cold needs all the help it can get!

Cheers!! I do hope that 2010 will be a vintage year for health and happiness for all of us.... may we be  fully healthy, fully employed  and fully fed !  And may all our weeds be easily pulled out!

Don't start on that one Michael!!! ;D

We're well into New Year's Day by now (10 past 9am here) so  happy New Year to all Forumists and their families. Too much to hope there will be fewer wars, famines, earthquakes, illness epidemics etc. Those seem to be the stuff of every day life now, but perhaps it's not unreasonable to hope or pray for each of us to show kindness and care to each other. Such is my own wish for the new year.

Our television news has carried coverage of firework celebrations in Sydney to welcome the New Year and so realise you are well ahead of us. Here I have spent some time admiring a partial lunar eclipse, several hundred years since there was one on New Year's Eve and am spending the rest of the evening with family, Mary and John, so a quiet evening.

Best wishes to SRGC friends around the world. May 2010 be a happy year for you all.

Love, peace, good health and banker bonus payments to you all for 2010.  Thanks for your friendship, fun and flowers during the now fading year and may we continue to support this incredible forum through the months and years to come.  I raise a glass to you all - be happy.
I will leave you with an image of our beautiful new grandson, Joseph Henry - born just three days ago - our hope and inspiration for a magical New Year here in Whitworth, Lancashire.

Bless you all!
