Simon,

Geum is one of the favorites in our garden. Like the yellow G. montanum and the G. reptans. On which altitude you find this species?

The G.montanum was more abundant at both sites from around 1900m to about 2600m. G.reptans was found higher still, all the way up to the peak of Musala at 2930m. G.bulgaricum was found in shadier sites all the way to the peak, but dwarfer at higher altitude. G.coccineum was also abundant along the streamsides until about 2400m.

Have you yet found Geum borisii? I seem to recall passing mention of it in a message a month or two ago.

Rodger, I think you were chatting with Chris about G.borisii. So I am not sure what exactly was discussed. Is G.borisii a species in its own right or a selection?
