malta in December
« on: December 30, 2008, 05:35:11 PM »
Came back from Malta a few weeks ago and have tried to post some pictures since but without success. I think I'll try posting only one at a time. I spotted this wee buttercup. Any ideas of what it is?

It seems to start working, so I'll continue
1. Typical city planting
2. Aloe in bloom
3. Arisarum?
4. Echeveria
Thank you for your idea, Mark. I have just read R.bullata smells violet. I wish I had smelled it

I didnt smell the flowers. There is another Maltese Ranunculus called Anthony's Buttercup R. bulbosus but I dont think the description fits

Thank you, Mark. You were right. I have just found a nice website www.maltawildplants.com and among the 15 native species listed there only R.bullatus flowers in Nov./Dec.

Oron,
thank you so much. I'm not a pundit of Medeterranean plants.
David,
I'm glad you feel warmer looking at the pics. So do I (with the snow around and expected -20)
