Korea
« on: December 20, 2008, 03:44:42 PM »
Philip MacDougall dropped by last night. We were up till all hours looking at photos from his recent trips to Taiwan, Korea and that memorable trip to the Yukon.  I guess I will have to embarass him to get him back on this site posting pictures.

Step 1 - He was amazed at this beautiful hummingbird seen in Korea; that was until we pointed out it lacked feathers, most notably tail feathers!

He did correctly guess butterfly on shot #2, but what is it?

It is cold here, the window this morning.

And who would expect Mukdenia rossii to be growing in this difficult site.  Must be getting a fair bit of seepage as they can quickly droop here in dry times.

A delicious dwarf Cimicifuga at the Korean Botanic Gardens.  Idea on the species?
