Please could anyone suggest a source in New Zealand for commercial quantities of alpine seed??

Thank you. Regards

Rob, there is Steve Newall... I'll check his email and send it to you and there is another SRGC Member Ross Graham: http://alpine-plants-new-zealand.110mb.com/index.htm  who I think does seeds too..... some of the NZers will have more suggestions, I'm sure - when they get up!

Hi Maggi and Rob,
Steve Newall now collects and grows purely for Jellito seeds - such a shame as his collections were excellent.

I'm not at the right computer at the moment, but isn't Russ Graham still collecting and shipping in NZ?

I think Steve and Ross are about it for commercial seed quantities. Ross's is good quality, so I've heard, but haven't had any myself. Most of us who get into the hills collect a bit for private use. You could contact Dave Toole (Forum member) who would probably be interested in swapping. But Dave will be having major psychological and anger management problems at present with the news a couple of days ago that a London-based company is to start drilling for oil behind the Remarkables Range, in the Nevis valley (Ian Y knows the area), one of Dave's happy hunting grounds. Why don't they keep their bl....y oil activities off shore, as previously?

Thanks for the advice, i am now in contact with Ross Graham, his 2008 seed list was quite extensive and hopefully the 2009 crop will be of similar good quality.
