Amaryllis, cultivars and hybrids

Foly, I have to agree with you... they are rahther freaky bulbs!! Even if some folks here grow them very well, I think for many of us they are mysterious and tricky!!

Here is the photo of the seeds pod of Amaryllis belladonna .

Seeing this picture reminded me that I did some decapitating of seed pods of belladonna so that they would not take to much energy but all seeds look the same it is just size differences. I planted the small (0.3-0.5cm) white (clear) seeds not to waste them. Is there any chance of them actually being ripe and becoming a plant?
That was in Portugal this weekend.

Lovely photos everyone !
I also have a belladonna purchased in Madeira. The leaves grow happily every autumn/winter but no flower so far even though I have tried to "bake" the bulb during summer. I guess that it doesn´t get enough light during our dark winters.
