Viola calcarata
« on: August 25, 2025, 07:32:42 AM »
Hello,
I've tried several times to get Viola calcarata from Rejzek's seeds.
Unfortunately, to no avail :-(
I still want to keep trying. Does anyone have this plant in cultivation and can anyone give me tips on sowing it?
(e.g., light-dark germinator?)
Unfortunately, Rejzek only has seeds of the blue variety. Does anyone here have the yellow one?
I saw this plant in the mountains and was fascinated by it.
Thanks and regards,
Bernd

Addendum: At th Ontario Rock Garden germination guide i found, that only fresh seed seems viable :-( think, this was the Problem.
