I would like to thank everyone who contacted me both on and off the forum about my need for information on Arisaema nepenthoides in New Zealand. It has led to success beyond my expectations.
Here is an extract from the letter I received yesterday.
... ERMA New Zealand has reviewed the evidence and advises that A.nepenthoides and a number of other Arisaema species (Arisaema fargesii, Arisaema galeatum, Arisaema iyoanum, Arisaema kishidae, Arisaema kiushianum, Arisaema limbatum, Arisaema negishii, Arisaema nikoense, Arisaema sahyadricum, Arisaema scortechinii, Arisaema thunbergii, Arisaema yunnanense) are present in New Zealand for the purposes of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms (HSNO) Act 1996 and that an application is not required to import this species. ...
So we now have a baker's dozen new Arisaema species we can import as seed into New Zealand.
