Very sad news: 14th May 2008
« on: May 14, 2008, 09:53:18 AM »
Friends, a Forumist, John ( Kent Gardener) Finch has had a tragic personal loss and I wanted to let you know so that John may be spared any questions when he returns to the Forum.
John's partner..... and dear "Driver"......... Ian, has passed away suddenly from a heart attack.  This is a huge shock since Ian was in the prime of life.  John has gone to stay with his parents for a few days.
Our fondest thoughts are with  John and with their families at this very distressing time.

Maggi,
Would you please be so kind as to relay the deepest sympathies of every member of this wonderful Forum to John and all his friends and family.
Perhaps, in this way, we can welcome him back (when he is able) without too many individual messages continually reminding him of his very sad loss?

Indeed I shall, Cliff.
I thought by making this  page that we could let everyone know the sad situation, and that John could, I hope, be cheered by our good wishes, without having to be upset by the need to make his own response to these notes.

Indeed all our thoughts are with John, family and friends during this sad loss and I hope he will get some comfort from knowing that his on-line friends are always here for him.

Such sad news. No one can really appreciate the sense of loss, but may I add my warmest wishes too.
