"Am travelling to Britain (the centre of the horticultural universe) from Australia, and looking for some advice regarding good Alpine nurseries to visit...

especially around the Cotswold area (that’s where we’ll be mostly based)...

Is there anyone amongst the SRGC membership that could help with a few good leads...

Thanks in advance.... J "

Who can help with both nurseries and  place/gardens of  interest for John?

if you are coming north a bit you must go and have a look at Chatsworth House and Gardens - it is epic

You also have Haddon House - which has been used as the backdrop for a lot of films

near there is Fir Croft - who is all alpines

You also get the benefit of the Peak District National Park

South West of Birmingham you have Ashwood Nurseries - if you like Cyclamen
