I'm off to Cambo on 21st February - looking forward to it.  Bought lots of Snowdrops last year and hoping to get a few more this visit.
Got a Groupon deal to stay at Crusoe Hotel in Lower Largo which is nearby so can make a day of it.
Will let you know what "goodies" I buy. Cheers

AGS Snowdrop Event - taking place today  - on the one hand, it's a shame that it's a wet day and those waiting to enter where getting rather damp - on the other, the people attending are getting a great range of talks, including  from our own Ian, the Christie Kind, in a nice dry venue with  accompanying plant sales!
Since it's too wet to be busy in the garden, the  folks there are  getting the best end of the day!

It was a good day.  I cannot say as much for the drive there and back.  And pity poor Ian Christie who was expecting to take 6.5 hours driving home.
Almost in Scotland.

The AGS snowdrop event was a splendid way to spend a miserable weather day.  We enjoyed all speakers who were varied and interesting, I do like the fact that the Scots have their very own selection of snowdrops which is continually being added to, thanks in no small way, by Ian C.
Good company,  good food and  good retail opportunities -what more does a girl need?

I think that the only thing that could have made the day better was some dry weather for the travel to and from, Carole - it sounded like the rain was horrible  :(

We travelled there Friday (good day) as I don't like travelling under pressure or getting up early! Driving back was no fun but hey we are home safe and sound. I have much sympathy for  Ian C. on that long drive, trust he made it safely.

Dear Maggi - thank you for mentioning our Snowdrop Day next Sunday. There is still a lot of weed in the garden and parts that are overgrown, and the snowdrops are so early this year, but it's such a great time as the garden wakes up after winter. These are are few pictures taken by a Garden Photographer friend which really bring out the charm of snowdrops (even if you have no idea of their names!).

Annaick has photographed plants in our garden over a number of years and I have collaborated with her on articles about plants and gardens, so I asked her if I might use some of her pictures to highlight our Snowdrop Day at Copton Ash next Sunday. These are several of her pictures with our grateful thanks...

On the day that many will be enjoying the Shaftesbury Snowdrop Study Day, it occurs to me that there has been no mention of the  Garten von Ehren event this year..... Schneeglöckchentage 2016 - 7

The Hamburg event is on the same weekend as the  new event   Schneeglöckchentage im Luisenpark in Mannheim
http://www.srgc.net/forum/index.php?topic=12607.0 ) - I hope that  forumists will find one of these events  to be within reach for them.

Luisenpark Mannheim details : http://www.luisenpark.de/veranstaltungen/kalender#termin_1915   8)

I see that some folk are listed to be attending  both.....
