Chelsea Physic Garden - Snowdrops Days 2016 - "Light up your winter"
"Snowdrops take centre stage at the Garden in a stunning display showing their intricate beauty at
our first event of the year. These stars of winter will be unveiled in a fresh take on the traditional
Snowdrop Theatre, staging snowdrops as you’ve never seen them before.
Step into spring up to six weeks ahead of the rest of the country in the shelter of the Garden’s high
walls, where you can delight in the swathes of elegant dark grasses interspersed with the radiant
first flowers of the year. See over 70 different and unusual cultivars, many wild collected species,
and 10,000 Galanthus Nivalis growing in drifts throughout the woodland accompanied by a unique
display of other spring flowers.
A selection of snowdrops and other winter flowering plants will be on sale in the plant marquee.
Our Growing Friends volunteers will be on hand to guide you. The Book & Gift Shop will be selling
themed gifts and the Tangerine Dream Café will be providing warming lunches and drinks."
