Put us out of our misery and id this small creeping plant, flowers are about an inch across.

You beat me to it Fermi, I am familiar with that one too, it grows around Adelaide. At first glance one can mistake it for Anagallis. Only when you get up close do you see the classic Malvaceae characteristics.
