Still only getting access to emails by logging dorect to BT.com online - nothing coming or going to my OE  - very irritating but I'm doubtful that any of the others are any better really.  Working on a better the devil you know at the meantime.  >:(

their tech help for broadband have a 0800 number that they don't seem to publicise much - 0800 111 4567 - they seem to answer this one quicker than the 0345 number......

Over the past few days my monitor has been 'freezing' and it's necessary to turn the computer off to free it. Sometimes it logs-on frozen.

The computer has been in for overhaul but nothing to cause the problem has been found. Yesterday was trouble free but this morning it has frozen twice.

I profess ignorance about these thing but welcome suggestions.

Chris,

When you say frozen do you mean the mouse or touchpad won't track or does the mouse still move but nothing happens.

From what you say Mouse drivers and or graphic card issues spring to my mind.

Ian, the mouse doesn't track.

Thanks for the pointer, I'll ask the boss to look at for me.

Mine has had the same problem recently (last few months) Suddenly it is dead. No keyboard, no visible cursor. The only key that works is the off button. I usually do a routine windows restart and all is OK. Tried the windows offer to recover exactly where I was and that works too; much to my surprise. Puts me straight back in the same place in the SRGC forum. Not that it only happens during the forum as far as I can recall. Seems random. At first I thought it was me mistyping something but really have no idea now.

Hi Ian

Christine downloaded the latest drive for the mouse but it still froze. I have a USB Hub because of all the 'stuff' on the computer and bypassing this worked. Later, the keyboard froze but worked after bypassing the hub. Same with the microscope camera, so the Hub would appear to be the culprit.

Thanks for your thought.

My google chrome stopped working today. I had to uninstall it then re-install, now working again.
