Would love to go Maggi but it's a bit too far for us at the moment. Now if I could get my expenses paid for a bit of horticultural journalism... ;) Look forward to seeing pictures from the Show because there should be lots of summer alpines which are just our thing.

I'll go, it's only just up the road & I bought a lovely Crepis incana (from Aberconwy), a Campanula 'Lynchmere' & a little Verbascum (both from Robin White (Mr Daphne)) there last year, all looking beautiful in the garden now.

I'll be there exhibiting in the Novice section again and making teas and coffees.
Hopefully it wont be as hot as last year

Good for you , Helen - great to see how much fun you are clearly getting from exhibiting and being fully involved in the shows. Always the way to get most fun out of them I reckon.
Wonderfully British, isn't it, that even when the temperatures soar there is still constant demand for tea and coffee?!!! :)
Mind you, bit chilly here today so perhaps hot chocolate is in order   ;D  It did feel like summer yesterday.....

Monika W.  has shown a Jim McGregor  tweeted of his pic of Robin White's  Farrer medal winning plant of Daphne jasminea,  Delphi form, at the Tewkesbury show.

What a super plant!

Expensive day though, over £80 of plants there or elsewhere on the way home.

I recommend everyone to watch Eric's slide show - almost as good as a visit to the show. A very wide selection of plants  to see  8)

Glad folks are enjoying them. There were obviously a lot more plants on show, but I was trying to take pictures of ones which I have not seen before, or of which I have not got good images. There were a lot of lovely Conifers and ferns which I did not take and the Sewing display by Jean Morris was beyond description.
Unlike the official photographers I have to take mine in the Hall, not always easy.
