Cornwall and the Eden Project, March 2014
« on: May 13, 2014, 01:16:10 PM »
At the end of March my wife and I spent a few days in Cornwall to celebrate my 70th birthday (if celebrate is the right word for entering my eighth decade!). There are many good reasons for visiting Cornwall - proper pasties, saffron cake, good beer etc etc - but the Eden Project (http://www.edenproject.com/) has to be one of the top ones. Here are some photographs, starting with the view from the entrance and the walk down to the biomes.

No alpine biome unfortunately, but the next day we went out on Bodmin Moor in freezing weather with snow and hail showers, and traversed the two highest points in Cornwall.

Nice way to celebrate, Ralph -  and even though the views and scenery are wonderful - the glimpsed beach is glorious -  I think it must have been much more comfortable to enjoy the plants in  the Eden Project domes!
Margaret Young in Aberdeen, North East Scotland Zone 7 -ish!
