Flowers of Crete, Greece 2014
« on: May 05, 2014, 02:37:17 PM »
Marcus H. and Susan are on holiday in Crete - they've sent some photos through.

Spili is a village in the Rethymno regional unit,  Crete
Kamares is a village in south-central  Crete. It is the location of an archeological site of a Minoan sacred cave.
Kedros -   Mount Kedros, is a conical-shaped limestone mountain on the island of Crete in Greece. It is located southwest of the Ida massif with which it forms the two flanks of the Amari Valley. 1777 m ( 5830' )
Photos are from mixed locations -  shown in mostly alphabetical order  ;)

Wonderful pictures Maggi.
I remember my visit to Greece, not Crete though....
While visiting some monasteries I came across a plant later IDed as Campanula versicolor... been looking for it ever since.
Some of my creations :)

Very interesting.  Thanks Marcus, Susan and Maggi.
That white Ranunculus asiaticus is stunning.
