Pitcairn Alpines - online shop opens again 1st April
« on: March 26, 2014, 06:37:15 PM »
Susan Band's Pitcairn Alpines : http://www.pitcairnalpines.co.uk/  will  re-opens the online shop on 1st April - something to look forward to!  Susan writes that the winter has been kind to the bulbs and many are flowering well at the moment.

Many forumists have written in these pages of their satisfaction with bulbs and plants received from Pitcairn.  I'm one of them!

Birthday of the present Mrs Smart. For her birthday, and to thank her for 30+ years of forebearance (anniversary a few days later) I shall treat myself to some bulbs.

And now it is nearly four   in the afternoon of the 1st and because of unexpected visitors, I've not been near the Pitcairn site - is there anything left do you think ?

I visited the site at 6 in the morning and 3 items from my shopping list was already sold out. You have to be fast when buying from a site like Pitcairn known for quality bulbs, good service and reasonable prices.

Well the postman woke me up!  In my daze I wondered what snowdrop was being delivered as I couldn't remember ordering one and, to my great delight, my eyes focussed on a box from Susan Band ;D ;D

My postie must be later than yours Brian. Caught mine as I was leaving the house yesterday and he was holding a box from Pitcairn's. Beautifully packaged, great bulbs and already in their pots  :)
