Problems posting pictures

Hello.
I'm new to the forum and obviously can't post correctly.
Have posted for the first time on the galanthus section and can't seem to add pictures.
I have them stored in "my pictures" on my pc, have found them using the browse facility but them can't seem to upload/attach them.
Could someone kindly explain how in simply language please.
Most grateful to anyone who can help.
Couldn't find where to post this in the help section as I seemed to keep ending up on a different site.
