I'm not usually keen on the bigger, frillier hoop petticoats but N. 'Craigton Chorister' is exceptional. What a stunner! I love the fine ruffling in the corona, which the name fits so well. Congratulations on a beautiful plant Ian.

Temperatures are up again after the cold snap so flowers have just started to open here, with N. 'Camoro' leading the charge and C. laevigatus going steady (still) though little sun to tempt her flowers open.   Some fine buds just emerging on 'Julia Jane' too, but everything is still quite slow. Looking forward to coming to Dunblane in February to get a decent bulb-fix!

I do think this is Narcissus worthy of a name, I can't  remember if I mentioned that it also has a good strong stem that holds the flower upright even in our low winter light.

Many more Narcissus are opening in this amazing weather we are enjoying watch out incoming bulb logs.

N. 'Craigton Chorister' is the outstanding sellection! Is this pollen/seed fertile?

Yes, the pollen is fertile and I think the plant will also have some fertility.
We have not had good enough weather during flowering time over the last few years so to date we have not had any seed yet.

Sounds great, Ian It seems N. 'Craigton Chorister' also has good potentials for breeding work Perhaps you've already pollinate some petticoats with its pollen?

I have done exactly that, both crossing out and selfing in the hope of a stable seed line.
