David, try changing the graphic settings on your screen , the resolution may not be high enough to deal with embedded  High Def film.

Micheal, I have no problem at all viewing videos or indeed live TV on my screen apart from links to videos on the Forum. I find it most odd?

No reason why they shouldn't be visible via the forum David.  Perhaps a setting that you have enabled for you-tube?  ???

I have noticed recently a number of webistes have apparently badly formatted layouts, with pictures laid over text, so the latter can't be read.
e.g. http://mygarden.rhs.org.uk/blogs/rosemoorgarden/archive/2013/02/18/ornamental-prunus-are-looking-great.aspx
Is this because they are formatted for screens other than computers? Do they come out correctly on ipads etc.?

Brian, that site looks okay on my computer (IE9 on Windows 7) with no pictures over text, although there is blank space to the left of Archive

Just tried again using Google Chrome on Windows 7 and it doesn't work on that browser, pictures overlap the Archive text.  I'd say its just bad formatting of the page.

The thing is I can see the video just fine if I look at it using Internet Explorer it's only Chrome (which I tend to use 98% of the time) I appear to be having the problem with. I click on the button in the middle of the video screen and the screen disappears leaving only the control bar at the bottom.

I hate it when the computer does something apparently random, like when I click the little rhombus top right of the last tab it comes up with SnapDo instead of Google. SnapDo must be the computer equivalent of an udder on a bull but I can't get rid of it. >:( All my settings have Google.co.nz but no, up comes this useless page! :(

I once had the same problem Anthony. Can't remember how I got rid of it but you might have a look at this:'

I suggest you download and run the free version of Superantispyware http://www.superantispyware.com/ .  That is good at identifying and removing browser hijackers like snap-do.

I too have a lot of problems with using Google Chrome on the forum.  The click to enlarge function for pictures has not worked for several months although it has started working again very recently.  I think Chrome is just temperamental.

I thought Malwarebytes would deal with spyware?

Doesn't seem to remove Snapdo. Do I have to search it out? I have tried the superantispyware. It's quite thorough.

Not exactly a computer problem, but a wee annoyance. Every time I access my list of friends on Facebook they are randomly assorted, which makes it difficult to be systematic if one is searching, yet my wife's are arranged alphabetically. I can't see how to change mine.

Anthony,
If yoiu google it you will find that it has a very bad reputation. maybe it is not spyware in itself but at least it opens a lot of holes in your computer for hackers and malware to enter. You will also find ways to get rid of it. I have not got it so I cannot give details but I assume it means seeking it ourt and removing it by hand.
Good luckl
