Muscari aucheri 'Autumn Glory' is flowering very early this year.
It flowers normally 2 times a year, first time in October and second time in the spring with all the other Muscari. Last autumn I took this pot under glass in hope of getting seeds. The autumn flower didn't set seed, but the spring flower did. It will be interesting how the seedlings behave.
As this pot was under glass the plant went dormant in the end of June. After repotting in July I placed it in an open frame outside.
The first pic is from August the 10th and the second is 10 days later.

Another pot which has spent the whole year in an open frame has just shown the tip of the leaves.

The Sterni's look promising indeed and Crocus scharojanii flavus is brilliant !

Thank you Luc!
Yes it is hard to believe that autumn is just around the corner. We have had a warm and sunny summer and after a colder period, summer has returned with sun and day temperature above 20 oC.
Due to the hot summer I expect many flowers in Sternbergias and other mediterranean bulbs and with the early start of the autumn bulbs the chance of a good germination is increasing.
