Dominique is this your duck? I used to breed birds. Never breed albino with albino.
Yes Mark, these ducks are mine. No problem for this species, Mendel law , 2 albino give only albino in good health. Perhaps is it good to put again the classic genes after some generations...(?) I'm lucky to know that you like birds too. What don't interest you ? you are an encyclopedy, and it is good to know such a friendly relation; Thanks. I post a pic of Silver baikal teal very fine little duck. These colours appear rarely  in the nature and without hope to survive at the predators pression because too much visible and vulnerable. Viable only in captivity.

Dominique yes I know albino x albino will give 100% albino but it will weaken the gene. It is always better to cross an albino with a normal/albino

I bred Australian and other small parakeets (not budgies) and Australian finches

There are three different forms of the Wood Duck. The Apricot is a pastel, blondish colour and the bill looks like a darker red. Then there is the White Wood duck , which is almost like an albino. The body is white and the markings are pink and it still has a bright red bill. The newest one is the Silver Wood Duck. It has the same basic look of the Wood Duck, but it has dark and light grey and silver.

At the start of our walk over the Routeburn track in Fiordland, New Zealand, we were greeted by these cheeky creatures.  They were running over the cars and picking at any rubber or plastic around windows etc. Under their wings the feathers are a beautiful red.  They were also prepared to have a go at packs that people hadleft on the ground while waiting for transport.

The Keas are so cute, like any parrot but it only takes one look at that hooked beak to show you how much vandalism they are capable of.  Makes the average parrot beak look like a joke!

I'd forgotten that I'd taken this Pic in Beroun at the market when we were there for the Rock garden Conference in May! I suppose as we're talking about NZ birds it belongs here!

I have absolutely no idea why people in the Czech Republic would be crafting ceramic Kiwis but there they were! If They didn't look so fragile (and heavy) I might've considered buying one to bring back!

Were they plant pots Fermi (hole in the bottom)? or were they for spitting into and throwing the ciggie butts?
