Could you tell us whereabouts these photos were taken?  I am getting a little confused by the various captions.

Hi Hakone,

You are making me envious with your pictures :-)

Can you tell us where are the gardens? Are they very far apart? do you have the same climatic conditions?

Best,

My garden is located in Germany, USDA 8 b . I use the name Hakone for a reminder .

Hakone is : Hakone (箱根町 Hakone-machi ) is a town in Ashigarashimo District in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.

Kumamoto :
Kumamoto (熊本市, Kumamoto-shi) is the capital city of Kumamoto Prefecture on the island of Kyushu, Japan.

Rokko :
Mount Rokko (931 meters) is the highest peak in the Rokko mountain range, which provides the pleasant green backdrop to the city of Kobe.

Yes, bamboo ( plants in the grass family Poaceae ) is very powerful. In China and Japan  most cypripediums grow with bamboo.

An example:

cypripedium japonicum grows native under the bamboo.

- No my friend, you are making "circus" - your pictures are from the garden or park and both have nothing to do with any "native" occurance. I don't see any reason to continue.

P.S. Also I will not comment "In China and Japan most cypripediums grow with bamboo."

Hardy Cypripedium , species, hybrids and cultivation ,  Werner Frosch and Phillip Cribb , Kew Publishing,
page 94 .  Cypripedium Elegans : Distribution and Habitat ........, in clearings in bamboo and Abies forest
page 112 . Cypripedium Wumengense : Distribution and Habitat ....on limestone under Sinoarundinaria bamboo clumps.

Please, speaking as Moderator of the Forum  : I do not believe there is any attempt to make jokes or such here- nor to make propaganda, so I would appreciate  if the posts of forumists would be respected.
Some comments here are somewhat ill-tempered and not what is expected in this forum.

With full respect - this person have newest book of Cribb & Frosch but providing us with absolutely untrue informations. So which kind of reaction should be correct in this case??? If  example with asian species like Cypripedium elegans and Cyp.wumengense means that "In China and Japan most cypripediums grow with bamboo" - so really, no more comments
